St. Luke’s has a long history of glorifying God through the beauty of music.  The sanctuary at St. Luke’s is acoustically rich, which allows for profound experience for the human voice.

Our volunteer choir is led by Robert Jones.  We are rooted in the Anglican choral tradition although we explore offerings from many Christian traditions, encompassing music from as far back as Gregorian chant right up to the 21st century.  As well as singing at the 10:00 liturgy this choir  sings at the occasional service of Evensong, and funerals and weddings of parishioners.  In May 2014, they made their debut in the St. Luke's Recital Series, presenting a program of sacred and secular music.   They aren't just musicans either:  they cook and serve the food at the parish's annual Pancake Supper on Shrove Tuesday.  The choir rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:00-9:00 as well as Sunday mornings at 9:00.  If you are interested in singing with a traditional Anglican choir, please contact Robert Jones at This email address is being protected from spambots. 2017 SUMMER DROP-IN CHOIR:  July 2nd - September 3rd inclusive
Our choir is a very dedicated bunch of singers who lead the congregation in all the musical aspects of a worship service from September through June. (They get time off in July and August for good behaviour!) However, the services continue. Some choir members take advantage and like to sit in the congregation, some take a holiday while others just can’t imagine sitting in the congregation, and help out with the drop-in choir that has been offered in recent years. If you have ever wondered about singing in the drop-in choir, come on a Sunday at 9:00 to go over the music. Any questions, please contact Bob Jones. We are also very fortunate to have air conditioning (so you can’t use the heat as an excuse to skip church)! Food for thought…. I won’t choose the communion hymn until the morning of: if there are sufficient numbers (i.e. each section—soprano, alto, tenor, bass--represented), a harmonized hymn can be used.

Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Lascelles, QC is only open in July and August, where it hosts the service of Evensong on Sundays at 7:00 pm. from July 9th to August 27th inclusive. The St. Luke’s Choir will sing on July 9th .  In a salute to Canada's 150th birthday, we will sing music of Keith Bissell, W. H. Anderson, Healey Willan and Welford Russell. The church is located at 5 Pritchard Road in Lascelles. This is the 4th summer our choir has sung at Lascelles.
